Base pay range

CA$70,000.00/yr - CA$80,000.00/yr

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Transborder Agent to join our team and coordinate cross-border freight forwarding operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized and proactive, with strong experience in ground and rail transportation. Responsibilities include overseeing shipment lifecycles, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with transportation procedures and client agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and analyze customer orders to identify transportation needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external carriers for timely shipments.
  • Manage shipment files and input data into operational systems per ISO standards.
  • Reserve transportation space and follow up with carriers.
  • Communicate shipping details and rates to suppliers.
  • Update clients and transporters on shipment statuses.
  • Invoice clients accurately and validate credit as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and meet performance metrics.
  • Handle claims, non-conformity notices, and customer complaints.
  • Participate in training, including pharmaceutical goods handling.
  • Support other tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in professional studies or equivalent.
  • 5–10 years of experience in freight forwarding and road transport.
  • Proven cross-border logistics experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
Requirements
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
  • Knowledge of demand planning and order fulfillment.
  • Familiarity with WMS and AS400 software.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
  • E-commerce platform experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of 3PL operations is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
