Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking a Transaction Services Senior Associate in Financial Due Diligence to join the Deals Transaction Services team. You will participate in buy-side and sell-side due diligence, perform detailed financial analyses, and support the transaction process with data-driven insights to maximize deal value.

The role focuses on client service, teamwork, and leadership within a fast-growing TS group, with opportunities to travel and develop technical skills including AI tools.

Qualifications

• Solid audit experience at senior associate level.
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) preferred.
• Proven analytical and financial performance analysis capabilities.
• Strong communication, presentation and report writing skills.
• Proven engagement leadership and team management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet with senior management to obtain information for due diligence and drive financial analysis.
• Develop in-depth understanding of target companies and key business drivers.

In transaction services at PwC, you will provide strategic advice and support to clients in their mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Your work will include conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and managing the transaction process.

Our team assist organizations with both buy side and sell side due diligence. As part of our team, you'll help us provide both corporate and financial buyers and sellers with peace of mind by analyzing and validating all the financial, commercial, operational and strategic assumptions being made.

The Opportunity:

As a Transaction Services Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high-quality client service and unlock your potential and embrace the chance to drive meaningful outcomes that'll elevate your career. Your role will include, but isn't limited to:

• Participate in meetings with top-level management in a wide range of businesses/ industries to obtain critical information for due diligence and help drive in-depth financial analysis of client and target financial data to identify deal issues and value drivers.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of target companies (e.g., industry, key business drivers)
• Undertake in-depth financial analysis of client and target financial data to identify deal issues and business value drivers
• Prepare key transaction analyses such as Quality of Earnings, normalized net working capital and analysis of debt and debt-like items. Data analytics tools will be utilized to drive efficiencies in data processing and analysis, and to present data effectively

The key areas of focus for this position are as follows:

• Buy Side Financial Due Diligence
• Vendor assistance/ sell side due diligence and carve-outs

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $100,100. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
