We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Transaction Manager to join our new Ford sales team in Truro, Cornwall.

The Transaction Manager, reporting to the Sales Manager, will assist in achieving sales volumes for retail and MOTAB, profit control, and activity within the sales team. The role involves ensuring each customer receives exemplary service and supporting the Sales Manager in the department's successful operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify customer needs and establish rapport using various sales techniques, assessing vehicle ownership, part-exchange figures, and future finance requirements.
  • Match relevant products to customer needs, presenting features and benefits, including add-ons, while maintaining brand standards and controlling negotiations to maximize profit.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA requirements during advising, selling, and administration of products, producing accurate figures, and explaining tax, VAT, and balance sheet implications.
  • Validate finance documentation with the finance provider, ensuring all finance and documentation are secured before delivery.
  • Accurately record customer information per Vospers standards.
  • Complete Vospers FCA training and pass re-assessments every six months.
  • Deliver high customer satisfaction, building relationships beyond initial sales through follow-up and prompt, courteous responses.
  • Maintain prospecting activities, support promotions, marketing, events, and advertising, and analyze team performance for reporting.
  • Attend sales meetings and collaborate with colleagues, demonstrating behaviors aligned with Vospers' core values.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and face-to-face.
  • Professional, organized, punctual, and flexible.
  • Results-driven with patience for medium- and long-term relationship building.
  • Proactive with initiative-taking abilities.
  • Confident in using IT and finance software, with high-quality task completion.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Full UK driving license is essential.
