Job Title: Training Specialist - Refinish

The Refinish Training Specialist is the key liaison who provides a crucial communication link between the strategic and tactical positions of the Regional Training Leader and their Training Instructors (if applicable). The main task is to deliver standardized training programs through training centers to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver face-to-face training and webcasts.
  2. Provide guidance, goal setting, and development for Training Instructors (if applicable).
  3. Work closely with other strategic team members to ensure a consistent customer experience.
  4. Network with the business, customers, and training teams to assess and deliver training according to their needs.
  5. Maintain training data dashboards.
  6. Ensure consistency of training delivery using approved content.
  7. Create and update training schedules in selected countries.
  8. Support industry-related events when appropriate.
  9. Contribute to content development as a Subject Matter Expert.
  10. Plan and schedule regional training activities.
  11. Perform customer demonstrations.
  12. Implement training organization goals.
  13. Collaborate with national and regional training resources for continual improvement.
  14. Gather classroom feedback and take appropriate actions.
  15. Manage product inventory at training locations as applicable.
  16. Support regional strategies for product and color training.
  17. Support market understanding and align with sales and business initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:

Ensure site security, safety, and management, including contract administration, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and site cleanliness. Ensure training centers meet Axalta standards.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • At least 10 years of automotive paint application experience.
  • Ability to develop and execute training strategies.
  • Strong business, technical, and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Proficient in MS Office and internal software.
  • Deep product, process, and application knowledge.
  • Excellent listening and probing skills.
  • Experience in collision shop management.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Results-oriented with analytical skills.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships.
  • Travel approximately 10% required.
