The Opportunity

We are a leading Canadian financial services co-operative committed to sustainability and community impact. Our Claims team aims to create peace of mind through compassionate service, continuous improvement, and integrity. The Training Specialist will deliver claim adjudication and disability claim management training, develop and maintain training programs, and ensure adherence to policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train new and existing claims staff on disability claims, rehabilitation, and early intervention services.
  • Educate and coach staff on claims management, processes, and problem-solving.
  • Provide tools and techniques for adjudication staff to make optimal decisions, understanding external services involved.
  • Develop and update structured training programs tailored to product lines and learning styles.
  • Review and update claim procedures as needed.
  • Support staff in understanding procedural changes and updates.
  • Maintain training documentation and reports.
  • Perform quality assurance audits on disability claims, including short and long-term disability, early intervention, and rehabilitation.
