Job Description

Under the general guidance of the Manager, the Training Specialist plans, develops, and facilitates or delivers end user training on improved processes and supporting suite of solutions or technologies. The Training Specialist is responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing learning materials, evaluating, and managing all phases of end user training. The role requires strategic perspective and a broad understanding of business operations, supporting stakeholders in understanding and adapting to new processes and solutions.

Qualifications Required

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. Bachelor’s degree in technology, education, communications, organizational development, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in developing training materials and delivering training to end users.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of training planning, development, and delivery frameworks, organizational development, and training best practices.
  • Experience facilitating diverse groups and writing technical documentation.
  • Higher-education or public sector experience is an asset.

Compensation and Hours

  • Salary Range: $40.75 - $59.77 per hour
  • Pay Grade: Admin Paygrade 08
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 35
  • Hours may vary according to department needs.
