Help Build a Canada Without Homelessness
At the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH), we believe homelessness is solvable. We work alongside communities, governments, frontline organizations, and people with lived expertise to help build housing-focused systems that measurably reduce homelessness across Canada.
CAEH is evolving. We are a modern social impact organization that combines systems change, advisory services, data, policy, learning, coaching, and innovation to create lasting impact at scale.
We are looking for people who are:
- Outcomes-focused
- Collaborative and adaptable
- Energized by meaningful work
- Comfortable navigating complexity and change
- Curious, thoughtful, and action-oriented
- Motivated by building better systems and stronger communities
If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Community Impact, the Training & Design Lead is a new role responsible for building and growing CAEH’s training and learning design capabilities. This role will take CAEH's expertise in homelessness — best and promising practices, tools, and systems knowledge — and translate it into clear, well-designed training content that communities, systems, and internal CAEH employees can learn from and put into practice.
This is a builder role. The Training and Design Lead owns the full training lifecycle: designing and developing curricula, building courses for in-person, virtual, and LMS delivery, continuously improving content based on participant feedback and results. Beyond content and delivery, this role helps shape how CAEH's training offerings are packaged and delivered so they can support CAEH's objectives while evolving sustainably over time. This role also oversees a team of Trainers as well as Training and Design Specialists — content developers and designers of training materials for CAEH's service offerings and internal employee training on homelessness technical knowledge.
CAEH is establishing this training and learning design function as one of the service functions within Community Impact — determining out what to teach, who needs it, and how to deliver it effectively across a growing range of audiences. The Training and Design Lead will collaborate across Community Impact and other teams to shape CAEH's training content and delivery model while simultaneously providing services to the housing and homelessness sector, strengthening internal capacity, and supporting the operating systems needed to scale.
This role is critical to CAEH's long-term success — getting our proven approaches into more hands to accelerate reductions in homelessness, while strengthening CAEH's internal capacity and contributing to its long-term financial sustainability.

- Design the content and delivery modalities for training in person, virtually, and on demand through CAEH's LMS to communities, system leaders, agencies, and individuals.
- Translate CAEH's research, sector knowledge, and Model for Ending Homelessness into practical, high-quality training content for a range of audiences and modalities.
- Lead the development of new LMS courses and self-directed learning offerings.
- Maintain a current, forward-looking training curriculum roadmap aligned with CAEH's strategic priorities and community needs.

- Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across CAEH by creating opportunities for employees to share priorities, emerging community needs, best practices, and lessons learned, ensuring the design, development, and delivery of training remains aligned with organizational goals, supports departmental work, and equips trainers with current, relevant content that reflects the ongoing support being provided to communities.

- Support the build-out of CAEH's CRM, ensuring training participation, pipeline, and revenue data is accurately captured.
- Track pipeline health and engagement progress for training in partnership with Business Development, flagging risks and opportunities early.
