Position Title: Training Advisor, assigned to the ERP Implementation (Oracle Fusion Cloud) (Finance) (Telework / Hybrid)

Location: Toronto or Montréal. Status of Employment: Contractee Long-Term (Fixed Term). Work Schedule: Full time. This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Unposting Date: 2025-09-18 11:59 PM.

Your role

The Senior Training Advisor will lead the complete lifecycle of training activities for the new Oracle Fusion implementation. This includes but is not limited to: conducting needs analysis, designing curriculum, delivering training, and evaluating program effectiveness. The Senior Training Advisor will collaborate directly with business leaders. This role will lead key training initiatives to prepare users for the new software and associated operational processes. The Senior Training Advisor will blend instructional design and project management to support business objectives.

This is a contractual position until June 30, 2026.

Key Responsibilities
Training and Development
  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs on software, processes, and systems for stakeholders including end-users and internal trainers (Train-the-Trainer)
  • Partner with subject matter experts to draft and revise / enhance training documentation and supplemental learning materials (if any).
  • Coach and mentor internal trainers on course development and effective facilitation techniques to enhance instructional quality.
  • Organize and lead informational sessions to update user groups on changes to financial systems, processes, and other relevant updates.
Strategy and Program Management
  • Consult with clients (both internal and external) to conduct needs assessments and develop training plans aligning with organizational priorities and goals.
  • Develop and execute multi-platform training strategies targeted at high-impact change areas identified through project assessments.
  • Provide key input for budget estimates, monitor spending, and implement corrective measures to remain within the assigned budget.
  • Oversee the organization, maintenance, and communication of the central training library, ensuring current and accessible materials.
Quality Assurance and Process Improvement
  • Evaluate operational procedures and existing training materials, submit recommendations for continuous improvement and modification.
  • Validate the accuracy and relevance of translated training materials, ensuring terminology aligns with organizational standards.
  • Assess and report on the quality of training provided by external vendors to ensure it meets CBC / Radio-Canada standards.
Knowledge and Requirements
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience designing and executing blended learning solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related discipline. Post-secondary education in Teaching and Training Adults is considered a strong asset.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Skilled in conducting training needs assessments and creating effective learning tools.
  • Expertise in designing, planning, coordinating, and delivering engaging training sessions for various software and business processes.
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices, applied to create effective and impactful learning experiences.
  • Skilled in creating diverse learning materials, including e-learning modules, videos, podcasts, and job aids, to support blended learning solutions.
  • Proficient in leading dynamic training sessions for in-person, virtual and hybrid audiences.
Analytical and Strategic Skills
  • Proven ability to analyze user needs, assess knowledge gaps, and strategically gauge learning requirements for individuals and teams.
  • Analytical and open-minded approach to creatively solve problems and improve training outcomes.
  • Meticulous approach to reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and relevance of translated training documentation.
  • Possess a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles (Asset).
Leadership and Communication Skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Committed to staying current with emerging training methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally as required for training delivery and project needs.
