Job description

The Trainer Provider Engagement and Performance Management (PEPM) will analyze, design, develop, deliver and evaluate training tools and information that maximizes both internal and external associates’ and the organization’s overall effectiveness, performance, and service to multiple customers. This position is responsible for the design and training of educationally based documentation, curricula, training tools and information that enhance Provider compliance, operational improvement, performance and overall service to our members.
Additionally, this position may participate in workflow task and Provider performance issue analysis and consultation to identify methods to improve performance/PPG effectiveness; implement performance based solutions and quick response tools; assist in gap analysis to assess individual PPG performance against compliance standards in conjunction with other Provider Engagement and Performance Management (PEPM) associates.

  • Formulates Provider Engagement and Performance Management (PEPM) training and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops
  • Confers with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies; Interfaces with department leads to develop course materials and receive feedback.
  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc; Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training and maintains trainee records; Makes recommendations on improving work procedures in the distribution center.
  • Selects and develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works
  • Coordinates training schedule with the hiring and training demands of the department
  • Performs other duties as assigned

• Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree in education or related field preferred
Certification/License:
Current valid and unrestricted licensed health clinician preferred
Training and Development professional certification preferred
• Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years work related experience, experience in curriculum design and development for an adult audience
Broad technical, professional or administrative training experience required
Previous experience working in a Managed Care setting preferred.

Needs to have Medical Provider training experience.

California is the preferred location for this position, but it is fully remote. We will consider candidates elsewhere, but this person will have to work 8:00am to 5:00pm on Pacific Time. There will be occasional travel for large team meetings, usually in Woodland Hills, CA or Sacramento, CA, usually 1-2 times/year.

Pay Range: $68,700.00 - $123,700.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
