Job summary

CMP Advanced Mechanical Solutions in Quebec seeks a Technical Trainer to educate team members through hands-on and classroom training. You will develop and deliver programs on equipment operation, safety and CMP standards, adapting content to experience levels.

You will assess trainee progress, coordinate training schedules, and sometimes work on the production line to demonstrate procedures. Fluency in French and English is required to support US customers.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts.
• Forklift trainer certification (Atout).
• Experience operating overhead cranes.
• Overhead crane trainer certification (Atout).
• Experience with various equipment and hand tools.
• Bilingual in French and English.

The technical trainer is responsible for educating and developing team members by leading training programs, workshops, or courses, ensuring that participants acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their tasks safely and effectively. They may also be called upon to assess training needs and adapt training materials with a view to improving them.

Role and responsibilities

• Coordinate practical training
• Train employees according to their experience and work situation on work equipment, both in theory and practice
• Evaluate employees according to CMP criteria
• May be called upon to work on the production line depending on the employee's skills
• All other related tasks is considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed.
