Job description

Toromont Cat is looking for a Trainee Warehouse Person to join our team! This role plays a key part in coordinating and executing day-to-day operations in the warehouse to ensure the entire team is providing superior service to our internal and external customers. Hourly rate starts at $20.85/hr, moving up to $27.23/hr after a period of two years.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, programs, and initiatives;
• Perform all daily functions of the Parts Operations including parts warehouse duties as necessary, such as processing shop and customer orders, stock order receipt and processing, picking and delivery of parts to internal and external customers, and processing incoming and outgoing freight and stock transfers;
• Ensure customers’ needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable, and professional manner;
• Help maintain the parts physical and electronic inventory;
• Provide on-call service on weekends for emergency parts orders on a rotating basis;
• Safely operate lift trucks;
• Assemble hoses;
• Package and ship dangerous goods;
• Assist with the organization and control of inventory.
