Barnhart Canada is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious
Entry-Level Trainee to join our operations team in
Acheson, AB. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the fundamentals of operating
hydraulic platform trailers and become part of a skilled workforce involved in transporting heavy, oversized loads for the oil and gas industry.

Your success will be determined by your ability to:
- Assist in the safe and efficient setup, operation, and transport using hydraulic platform trailers under supervision.
- Support mobilization and demobilization of equipment at project sites across Alberta and Western Canada.
- Learn to inspect and perform minor maintenance on trailers and transport components.
- Follow established safety procedures and report hazards or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, drivers, riggers, and other team members during operations.
- Maintain alertness, focus, and attention to detail while operating in high-risk environments.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent Barnhart Canada professionally on client sites.
- Manage time effectively to meet tight project schedules and adapt to changing field conditions.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, especially in challenging or emergency situations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license ( Class 1 or Class 3 is a strong asset.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift, bend, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic platform trailers or willingness to receive hands-on training.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Mechanical aptitude; able to identify and address minor equipment issues.
- Safety-first mindset and awareness of potential hazards in heavy transport operations.
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and focused during demanding tasks.
- Must be flexible with work hours, including overtime, weekends, and travel for projects.
- Must complete and pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug test.
- Must be or willing to join Local 362 Teamsters.
