Lift Schools is offering a dynamic opportunity for aspiring Chemistry Teachers through a classroom-based Initial Teacher Training programme. Trainees will gain their PGCE while working supportively within the classroom, benefiting from structured training and a supportive network. Classroom-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme based in one of our 57 schools. Lift Schools is one of the largest school trusts nationwide, partnered with Ark Teacher Training to deliver our programme.
You'll gain a PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate of Education) and your Qualified Teacher Status while working hands-on in the classroom as a Chemistry Teacher. Your tutor and coach will support you to build up your independent teaching time during the year.

The school-based training involves spending half a day weekly in sessions with your Ark tutor and other trainees.
Salary Details:
Graduate Teaching Apprenticeship: £21,731 + £9,250 tuition fees paid by Lift Schools (£25,758 in London)
Tuition-Fee Route: Up to £30,000 per annum bursary or scholarship depending on degree classification (1st or 2:1 = £30,000 scholarship; 2:1 or 2:2 = £28,000 bursary), tax-free. Second-year salary guaranteed at £31,650 (£36,413 in London).
