Overview

Mayday Personnel is excited to be working with a well-established engineering business looking for a Trainee CAD Technician on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and successful running of the business. The Trainee CAD Technician role is available for someone to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

1. Learning 2D drawings as per company standards
2. Working closely with the technician team
3. Ensuring the drawings are accurate, up-to-date, and kept within company guidelines
4. Understanding project requirements to ensure drawings are delivered in a timely manner to meet deadlines
5. Completing multiple projects and their modifications within pre-determined deadlines
6. Generating detailed and accurate designs
7. Following complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings

Qualifications

• HNC / HND LEVEL AutoCAD
• Intermediate AutoCAD ability
• 1-2 years CAD Technician experience
• Electrical CAD experience (desirable)
• Experience in producing electrical schematic drawings
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Good attention to detail
• Experience working in a small team
• Ability to meet deadlines

Hours

• Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
• Lunch break: 1 hour unpaid

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,000 - £26,000 per year
