As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles. The GO Expansion scope : new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.
Purpose of the Job:
The Train Integration Manager is interacting with client, partners and internal train contributors. His main role is to guarantee that the train integration in its system environment, as well as integration between locomotives and cars, are successful. He must fully understand the objectives of the client, the needs of the system, and translate them into technical requirements for locomotives and the upgrade program of legacy vehicles.
The rolling stock part of the project is one of the 4 lead parties of the Project Company (ProjectCo) in charge of improving the transport capacity and performances of an existing commuter network. As such, rolling stock teams are constantly interacting with the other ProjectCo parties (civils works, systems and operation & maintenance) as well as with the client. The ultimate objective is to develop and build an upgraded transportation system according to the operational targets defined by the client.
The scope of Rolling Stock includes: (1) new vehicles (Electric Locomotives) and, (2) the upgrade of the legacy fleet (composed of Diesel locomotives and passenger cars of different types).
