Project:Calgary Green Line Transit Project.

Position Overview:

The T&S Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Signalling and Train Control Systems for the Calgary Green Line transit project.

This role involves leading a team of specialists, managing the allocated budget, and ensuring efficient resource utilization. The T&S Manager will report directly to the project leadership and provide regular progress reports on the overall T&S discipline.

Your role within the team:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and manage a team of T&S specialists to ensure timely and quality delivery of project objectives.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Project Delivery:
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and testing of signalling and train control systems.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
    • Ensure integration of the T&S system package with all the other interfaced or enabling systems.
  • Budget Management:
    • Manage the project budget allocated to S&TCS, including Profit & Loss (P&L) and monitoring of burning rates.
    • Optimize resource allocation to ensure cost-effective delivery of project milestones.
  • Reporting and Communication:
    • Provide regular advancement reports to project leadership on the status of T&S activities.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with T&S delivery.
    • Develop contingency plans to address potential issues and ensure project continuity.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional License.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the delivery for signalling and train control system packages, preferably in light rail transit projects.
  • Experience with modern signalling technologies and train control systems.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
