Job summary

A leading transportation solutions provider in Ontario is seeking a Licensed Mobile Trailer Technician. You will travel to various sites to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers and equipment. The ideal candidate has a 310J/310T Technician Certification and experience in trailer service. Attractive benefits including a $2,500 signing bonus and annual allowances are offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience in trailer service and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of various trailer systems including electrical and braking.
  • Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations for maintenance.
  • Conduct inspections to identify needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer issues.
  • Repair or replace faulty trailer parts.
  • Perform welding and fabrication repairs.

As a Licensed Mobile Trailer Technician, you'll travel to various sites to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services on a wide range of trailers and equipment. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both company-owned and customer equipment. You'll work on everything from Dry Vans, Reefers, and Heaters to Flat Beds, Chassis, and much more!

Specific responsibilities include

  • Travel to customer locations to perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts, replacing worn-out components, and adjusting brakes and suspension systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Repair or replace damaged or faulty trailer parts, including electrical systems, tires, brakes, lights, couplers, and axles.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and bodywork repairs as necessary

Qualifications:

  • 310J/310T Technician Certification
  • Proven experience as a Trailer Service Technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of trailer systems, including electrical, suspension, braking, and structural components.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 85 pounds.
