Job description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Trailer Mechanic on a permanent basis for our Fleet Services team.

This position requires on-site work and is based at our regional office in Regina, SK.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 6:15 am - 2:45 pm

What you’ll do:
  • Install and transfer tanks on retail delivery units. Checking and rebuilding of pumps and meters, mounting PTO’s, testing, and repairing of piping and fittings as required.
  • Install and troubleshoot truck mounted fuel management equipment.
  • Perform aluminum cutting, welding, and fitting on aluminum tanks and equipment.
  • Complete tests required by Transport Canada on cargo tanks and associated equipment.
  • Operate, maintain and service steamers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You will work closely with a dynamic team to perform mechanical services on retail delivery and semi-trailer units. This team of mechanics works together to cultivate a culture of support, collaboration, and community.

Who you are:
  • Have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Carry a valid Class 5 Driver’s License; Class 3A Drivers License is considered an asset.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of related experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have a mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills.
