Overview

We seek a Traffic Safety Engineer to join our Traffic Safety Services Department, responsible for promoting safe driving and enhancing road safety aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. The role involves transportation and traffic safety engineering tasks, developing safety initiatives, policies, and action plans, including roadway design reviews, accident investigations, safety assessments, and remedial measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical traffic safety engineering tasks.
• Coordinate with company and government stakeholders to improve traffic safety in the Eastern Province.
• Support traffic mobility and safety projects with technical expertise.
• Assist in developing project scopes, proposals, and schematics for road safety improvements.
• Review and input on roadway design standards and specifications.
• Contribute to safety initiatives using international best practices and new technologies.
• Investigate traffic accidents involving employees and contractors.
• Manage technical activities and resource allocation.
• Enhance internal technical capacity through training and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; advanced degree in Transportation & Traffic Engineering preferred.
• 15 years of experience in Traffic Engineering & Transport Planning, with at least 10 years in traffic safety projects.
• Proficiency in road design, transport planning, and safety studies.
• Knowledge of local and international standards and guidelines.
• Professional certifications and licenses required.
• Ability to conduct site visits and assessments.
• Experience with traffic analysis and simulation software.
• Project management skills and excellent communication abilities.
