Job description

Position: Traffic / Media Asset Coordinator, full time (Salary
grade 3)

Reports to: Manager, Television Traffic / Director of Broadcast Technology and Operations

Location: Toronto

Zoomer Media owns and operates a wide range of media platforms, with a strong presence in radio, TV, print, and digital. Our radio brands include Zoomer Radio and The New Classical 96.3 FM, offering a diverse mix of programming. In addition to our radio networks, we also engage audiences through other brands like Zoomer Magazine, VisionTV, FaithTV, and JoyTV. The Traffic / Media Asset Coordinator, responsible for streamlining Television Operations with Traffic and Media-related tasks. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of operations across our various platforms.

What you'll do

  • Monitor timely delivery of all on-air content and follow up with departments as necessary.
  • Update interdepartmental documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Receive new material and facilitate delivery to linear and digital platforms.
  • Catalog and schedule paid content as requested by clients.
  • Prepare and send advanced logs to service providers on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare Traffic logs and playlists while maximizing revenue on a daily basis.
  • Receive and implement commercial instructions with accuracy.
  • Perform recon and reporting tasks as directed.
  • Assemble Material purge lists in accordance with expiration and workflow guidelines.
  • Coordinate closed captioning and general media processing jobs.
  • Utilize scheduling software and MAM systems to verify availability and metadata.
  • Provide assistance to other traffic and media processing team members when required.
  • Establish familiarity with on air content and ZoomerMedia properties.
  • Collaborate with team members to perform a variety of tasks related to TV operations.

  • Experience in WideOrbit or similar broadcast scheduling software is an asset.
