Your Opportunity

Dillon’s Community Design practice seeks a Traffic Engineer / Technologist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will work on exciting projects, providing clients with a fully integrated, superior customer experience.

This position is available at any of our Ontario offices . We offer flexible work hours and hybrid work arrangements .

Responsibilities

What your day will look like

Technical Activities & Administration

  • Contribute to transportation / traffic planning and design projects, including traffic analysis, parking reviews, road safety audits, signage, pavement marking reviews, neighbourhood traffic management, and transportation demand management.
  • Support Dillon’s technical staff and project managers in project delivery for public and private clients.
  • Provide technical expertise within multidisciplinary teams, including planners, engineers, scientists, and technologists.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.

Learning & Development

  • Commit to ongoing professional development.
  • Participate actively in professional associations and committees.
  • Qualifications

    What you will need to succeed

  • A degree in civil engineering or urban planning, or a diploma in civil engineering technology with a transportation focus.
  • Qualified to practice in Ontario as a Professional Engineer, Registered Professional Planner, or Certified Engineering Technologist, or eligible within six months.
  • Strong report writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience

    The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in areas such as transportation impact studies, parking studies, road safety, traffic calming, warrant analysis, traffic engineering software, active transportation, TDM programs, environmental assessments, and innovative transportation technologies.
