Job description

Responsibilities
  1. Use ERP system and customer portals for traffic (shipping and receiving) functions.
  2. Maintain superior service with internal and external customers.
  3. Receive and process customer releases through EDI, fax and email.
  4. Investigate and resolve customer order discrepancies.
  5. Monitor and adhere to customer shipping schedules.
  6. Prepare accurate and timely documentation including entering customer orders /spot PO’s.
  7. Enter accurate cumulative totals and reconcile differences.
  8. Monitor transmissions and issue advanced shipping notices (ASNs) in a timely manner.
  9. Ensure accurate bar code labels/information is maintained and obtain customer approval as needed.
  10. Participate in cross-training to ensure back-up coverage and also rotating coverage for weekends, holidays, after-hours and expedite scenarios.
  11. Deliver on-time and accurate responses to online inventory systems.
  12. Follow all established protocols and procedures (for filing, submissions, etc.)
  13. Maintain accurate records of inventory and ensure supply and tracking of returnable containers.
  14. Ensure accurate communication logs and voiding of invoices as needed.
  15. Provide inputs and participate in forecasting for customer activity.
  16. Monitor and communicate customer demand changes.
  17. Liaise with the customer and research and resolve concerns.
  18. Complete customs documentation to ensure smooth import and export activity.
  19. Promote health and safety and ensure good housekeeping at all times.
  20. Adopt and support KAIZEN activities.
  21. Ensure all work is in compliance with certifications and standards.
  22. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  1. Completion of high school diploma (minimum) and some business school (preferred).
  2. Strong computer skills (Office and SAP).
  3. Solid communication skills - the ability to read, write and speak English is required.
  4. One year of relevant experience in automotive customer service at the tier 1 level (preferred).
  5. Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  6. Professional interactions with customers, suppliers, customs, and freight companies.
  7. Knowledge of customs regulations and AIAG standards is an asset.
  8. Advanced administrative and organizational skills.
  9. Working knowledge of EDI systems.
  10. Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment.
