Job summary

Frontline Traffic Services is seeking reliable Traffic Control Person(s) (TCPs) for the Windsor region in Nova Scotia. No experience required; safety training is provided at our Dartmouth office.

Role includes managing traffic through construction sites and travelling to job sites as needed, with transportation provided in some cases. We offer competitive wages starting at $17.50/hour, TCP certification training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to interpret written and verbal instructions.
• Great communication skills and team oriented.
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with positioning signs, barricades, and traffic cones at sites.
• Coordinate with TCPs to regulate traffic safely.
• Ensure safe passage for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists through work zones.
• Adapt traffic setups to support moving paving operations.
• Report incidents or hazards to Site Supervisor.
• Follow directions from Site Foreman and Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We're looking for reliable and hardworking people to join our team as Traffic Control Person(s) (TCPs) in the Windsor region. Possibility of travelling and working at job sites in HRM as required with transportation provided. In this exciting role, you would be responsible for managing traffic through construction sites. If you enjoy being outside, working on your feet & have an interest in getting a foot in the door with construction, this is a fantastic opportunity for you! No experience required, and we provide all necessary safety training at our office in Dartmouth.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with placing signs, barricades, and traffic cones in work areas.
• Communicate with other TCPs in the workplace to regulate traffic safely.
• Responsible for the safe passage of vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists through work areas.
• Adapt traffic control setups to support moving paving operations.
• Communicate any incidents or hazards to the Site Supervisor.
• Follow instructions given by Site Foreman, Site Supervisor, and Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Reliable and punctual.
• Must be able to interpret both written and verbal instructions.
• Great communication skills and willing to work in a team environment.
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions, often working long days.
• Comfortable working near vehicle traffic and heavy equipment on construction sites.
• Required ability to lift up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods of time.
• Valid TCP Certification an asset.
• Valid Class 5 License an asset.
