Job description

We are a growing organization currently seeking a passionate and motivated Traffic Clerk to join our team.

Employment Details
  • Type: Full Time
  • Shift: Night Shift, 9:30 pm - 6 am, Sunday to Thursday
  • Location: Lachine
Position Summary

The Traffic Clerk plays a key role in the shipping/receiving office by greeting customers (drivers), reviewing and verifying shipment paperwork, and coordinating with operations to ensure effective communication and service. The role also involves liaising with the regional customer service team on scheduling driver/carrier appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Promote a culture prioritizing Health & Safety.
  2. Greet drivers, ensure excellent customer service, and verify documentation upon arrival.
  3. Coordinate with the Warehousing Solutions team to meet customer requirements, prepare paperwork, update systems, and ensure accuracy.
  4. Assign customers to loading bays to optimize warehouse efficiency.
  5. Communicate with Customer Service regarding shipment requests or delays.
  6. Audit bills for accuracy.
  7. Support regulatory inspections and coordinate with inspectors.
  8. Work with Inventory Control on customer recalls and requests.
  9. Assist in system setup of items under supervision and validate charges.
  10. Adhere to the Code of Business Conduct, company policies, and legal statutes.
Key Requirements
  1. 0-2+ years experience in customer service within logistics, transportation, or warehouse settings.
  2. Post-secondary education or training in Customer Service is an asset.
  3. Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
  4. Education in Business, Warehousing, Transportation, or Operations Management is an asset.
  5. Ability to prioritize, work efficiently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
  7. Strong team player.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
