An established community organization is seeking a dedicated Traditional/Cultural Worker to help promote cultural awareness and support healing within the Lac Seul First Nation. This full-time role involves coordinating cultural knowledge transfer, providing traditional teachings, and facilitating access to Elders and traditional practices. The Lac Seul First Nation Choose Life program is seeking a full-time Traditional/Cultural Worker. This position coordinates and supports all aspects of cultural knowledge transfer and planning within Lac Seul First Nation.
The Traditional/Cultural Worker provides traditional teachings and ceremonies in a safe and acceptable environment and coordinates access to Elders and Traditional people to meet the needs of the Lac Seul community, with children, youth, and families.
The Traditional/Cultural Worker will also work to promote cultural awareness, safety, and competency within the communities of Lac Seul while promoting healing and reconciliation.
