TEPF - Trades Coordinator (Southern Alberta)
The Educational Partnership Foundation (TEPF) is seeking a passionate and experienced education-focused coordinator to join our dynamic Trades Careers team in Southern Alberta. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education—such as a teacher, career counsellor, or education administrator—with knowledge of the skilled trades and Alberta’s apprenticeship system.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of education and industry and is eager to support Alberta youth in discovering fulfilling careers in the skilled trades. You’ll work closely with school districts, First Nations communities, industry stakeholders, and training providers to help students explore the wide array of opportunities available to them.
Priority will be given to applicants with a background in education, as this role requires a deep understanding of school systems, student engagement, and career pathway development. Second considerations will be given to Journeypersons with strong communication skills and skilled trades experience.

Pay : $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in the education system—preferably as a teacher, guidance counsellor, administrator, or education specialist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders
- Passion for education and a genuine desire to help students discover their future careers
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward teamwork
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
- Knowledge of skilled trades and/or familiarity with Alberta’s apprenticeship system is a strong asset
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
General
- Oversee program coordination in Southern Alberta
- Report to the Director of Trades and the President & CEO
Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify opportunities for program enhancement, gather feedback, and implement strategies to improve engagement and outcomes. Report on activities to the Director of Trades
- Support the High School Trades Career Program by working directly with districts, schools, and educators to recruit and guide students
- Support Indigenous Trades Career programs through engagement with First Nations communities
- Travel to various trades training centers to oversee programs that expose students to trade professions
Event Coordination
- Lead planning and execution of regional events such as student information sessions, recruitment events, career fairs, completion celebrations, and community activities
Measurement
- Update KPIs and performance data
- Develop a model for completion ceremonies for all trades programs
- Work with team members to track performance metrics
Expansion
- Identify priority areas geographically and in terms of training facilities in collaboration with leadership
- Develop programs in potential school districts
Student Bursaries
- Distribute bursary funds to successful candidates
- Create social media content with TEPF media team
Brand and Recognition
- Represent TEPF at events across Southern Alberta
- Deliver information sessions and promotional talks
- Build relationships with school districts for recruitment and engagement
Marketing
- Create and update marketing resources and media campaigns with the media team
- Recruit students, teachers, and parents for participation in promotional activities
Administration
- Provide reports to the CEO for the Board of Directors
- Monthly activity reports to the Director of Trades Careers
Other
- Assist with fundraising, information sessions, and strategic initiatives
- Support the Director of Trades Careers and CEO with additional duties as needed

Travel

Hours
- In-person engagement with schools and partners during typical work hours (9:00 am – 5:00 pm)
