Job Description

The Trader is responsible for sourcing, buying, and selling metals. This role requires a deep understanding of global metals markets, strong supplier and customer relationship management skills, and the ability to make timely, strategic trading decisions to maximize profitability and drive business growth.

What you're responsible for :

  • Developing and managing a portfolio of suppliers and buyers for recycled metal materials
  • Sourcing materials domestically and/or internationally and negotiating terms of sale or purchase
  • Evaluating market trends and pricing indicators to develop trading strategies and optimize margins
  • Executing trades with full ownership of pricing, logistics coordination, risk management, and compliance
  • Building long-term relationships with scrap yards, smelters, brokers, and industrial end-users
  • Collaborating with logistics, operations, finance, and compliance teams to ensure seamless deal execution
  • Maintaining accurate records of trading activity and client interactions in CRM and ERP systems
  • Preparing and delivering internal reports on trade performance, margins, and market forecasts

Qualifications

To join our team :

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, international trade, or a related field (preferred)
  • You have experience in commodities trading; experience with international trade and logistics is a plus
  • You have the ability to manage P&L, assess risk, and make high-stakes trading decisions
  • You have an understanding of commodity markets, pricing models, and supply chain logistics
  • You have excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/CRM tools (Salesforce, SAP, or equivalent)
  • You have the ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
