Description

POSITION SUMMARY

As part of the Trade Spend and Deductions Team, you will manage customer accounts to provide validation and claims creation of trade deductions. Daily interactions will involve Customer Service Representatives, Sales, Customers, and Clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage daily trade deductions and post-audit deductions, including monitoring status, header types, reason codes, and days outstanding.
  2. Validate deductions accurately using Excel and supporting documents as per SOP.
  3. Monitor open deductions to ensure timely clearance.
  4. Review team and individual goals weekly to meet month-end targets.
  5. Engage with customers, clients, and sales teams to resolve discrepancies.
  6. Investigate trade-related promotions resulting from deductions.
  7. Source backup documentation for deductions taken.
  8. Monitor performance metrics for deductions.
  9. Support the collection process for outstanding unauthorized deductions.
  10. Escalate deduction issues to the Team Manager and Sales team.
  11. Provide customer-specific TPM reports and analysis.
  12. Address promotion setup accuracy and related programs for continuous improvement.
  13. Familiarize with costing sheets, deal sheets, contracts, and promotions for assigned customers.
  14. Work on special projects and provide backup support as needed.
  15. Collaborate closely with Trade Spend Analysts for claims accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in CPG or food industry with major retailers.
  • 2-5 years in customer deductions, including bill backs, price protections, allowances.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of trade systems (SAP, TPM, MEI, AFS, Exceedra) is an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (Intermediate-Advanced).
