Job Description

Trade Spend and Promotion Manager (Mississauga, Canada)

The Trade Spend & Promotional Efficiency Manager is a critical role responsible for optimizing trade investment and maximizing promotional returns across the Canadian Philips Personal Health business.

Your role:

  • The role is responsible for acting as the Subject Matter Expert while helping the Sales team assess customer trade spend and improve promotional efficiency. This includes developing strategies, conducting extensive financial and data analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in promotional planning, execution, and post-event analysis, all while leading a direct report.
  • The role will report into the Insights, Analytics and Trade Leader and will work closely with Sales, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, and internal North American/Global teams. The role has one (1) direct report (Trade Promotion Analyst). Responsibilities also include managing external vendors (e.g. Trade Promotion Management/Optimization software).
  • Leadership and development opportunities include collaborating closely across multiple departments and interacting with senior leadership; chance to further refine your data analytics while applying insights to build strategic decision-making; manage, mentor, and develop one Trade/Promo Analyst, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and analytical rigor.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 2+ years of progressive experience in Trade Marketing, Sales Operations, Revenue Growth Management, or Finance within a CPG environment, with a strong focus on trade spend management.
  • You have proven experience in managing and optimizing trade promotions, with a deep understanding of various promotional mechanics and their impact.
  • You possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • You have experience with Trade Promotion Management (TPM) software (e.g., Adesso, Vistex)- Trade Promotion Optimization software (e.g., Sequoya) experience is an asset.
  • You excel in communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • You bring leadership experience, whether managing a junior analyst or contributing to collaborative team member.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Canada – Exempt (Salaried)

The pay range for this position is $77,000 to $143,000. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees areeligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, DC Pension, Flex Dollars(for HSA/PSA/RRSP), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
