Job summary

EQ3 Canada invites an enthusiastic Trade Representative to join the Montreal team. You will develop rapport with trade clients, guide them through the sales process, and provide product knowledge to uncover trade opportunities.

You will network with new clients via calls, emails, and appointments, and track quotes/orders while keeping trade members engaged with store events and promotions. The role supports in-store programs in Montreal.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in retail sales or design/trade environment preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education in project management or retail customer service is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign).
• Strong self-motivation, organization, and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapport with trade clients, identify needs, guide through the sales process, and provide product knowledge to identify trade opportunities.
• Network and connect with new potential clients via cold calls, emails, and in-person/virtual appointments.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative individual to join our Retail Team as a Trade Representative.

THE DETAILS:

You’ll be joining our Montreal team at 4428 Boulevard St-Laurent in a full-time capacity

• You’ll develop a rapport with trade clients, actively listening to identify their needs, guiding them through the sales process, and providing product knowledge to help identify potential trade opportunities
• You’ll have the opportunity to network and make connections with new potential clients via cold calls, emails, and in-person/virtual appointments
• You’ll be responsible for tracking and following up on trade quotes/orders, maintaining a database of trade members, and acting as a point of communication to keep them engaged with the brand and up to date on store events & promotions
• You’ll support store managers and trade project managers in executing trade promotions and in-store events

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Four (4) years of experience in retail sales, or experience in a design/trade environment, is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered
• A high school diploma/GED. Post-secondary education in Project Management and retail customer service would be an asset
• Proficiency in retail operations and systems (Point of Sale, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, InDesign)
• The ability to self-motivate, with strong organization and project management skills. Can work proactively to develop short- and long-term goals, and then execute them as part of a team
• Working knowledge of the retail furniture industry, and an understanding of how to scout designers and turn prospects into clients
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to develop a strong working relationship with a diverse range of customers and business partners
