Job description

Trade Marketing Associate is responsible for overseeing trade promotion management (TPM) while driving revenue growth initiatives (RGM). This dual role focuses on optimizing promotional spend, maximizing profitability, and ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. The role combines analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance trade efficiency and unlock growth opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:

Trade Promotion Management (TPM):

  1. Oversee the planning, execution and evaluation of trade promotions to ensure optimal ROI.
  2. Monitor promotional spend and track compliance with financial targets.
  3. Analyze trade performance data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  4. Conduct Trade deal and accrual verification to ensure compliance with control and governance guidelines.
  5. Ensure accurate master data entry and maintenance in Vistex - TPM system, enabling reliable reporting and insights.
  6. Work with BDM’s to ensure Vistex reflects accurate promotional details.
  7. Work with/support brokers on annual volume and tradespend plan for the small regional accounts.
  8. Conduct monthly meetings with BDM’s to communicate and review trade spends.

Revenue Growth Management (RGM):

  1. Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and POS data to identify revenue opportunities.
  2. Conduct competitor analysis to benchmark pricing, promotions, and market positioning.
  3. Provide data driven insights and recommendations to maximize revenue growth and profitability.
  4. In collaboration with Sales & Customer Marketing Manager, optimize pricing models and promotional strategies to align with business objectives.
  5. Review and adjust pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness while maximizing profitability.
  6. Establish and track KPIs to measure the success of revenue growth initiatives.
  7. Support specific RGM projects that may arise based on business needs.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  1. Analyze and reconcile monthly trade spend to ensure accuracy between Vistex and corporate financial reporting systems.
  2. Assist in the data gathering and audit activities required by external auditors.
  3. Monitor post-promotion performance and recommend adjustments to enhance effectiveness.
  4. Lead quarterly reviews to assess trade and revenue strategies against business goals.
  5. Adhoc reporting as required to support brokers on the small regional customers.

Systems & Training:

  1. Develop tools, resources and training program to enable and support users on the effective use of TPM system/reports.
  2. Identify issues/inconsistencies and work with IT to resolve these issues.

Additional Information:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in revenue management, pricing strategy, or a similar role.
  3. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Knowledge of TPM/CRM systems and NIQ.
  7. Minimum 50% in-office attendance requirement.
