Position Summary:

Responsible for managing the importation of goods for Gordon Food Service Canada and its subsidiaries. Performs regular reviews of import data and acts as a liaison with foreign suppliers regarding export documentation, product literature, and supply chain records.

Location:

The successful candidate should be able to commute to the nearest GFS Distribution Center, 4 days a week.

Essential Functions:
  1. Develops and maintains procedures to ensure accurate import processes.
  2. Maintains a database of import permits and licenses for Canada and the US.
  3. Supports compliance with import/export regulations and special projects.
  4. Coordinates with third-party service providers on trade compliance and supply chain risk.
  5. Tracks and implements corrective actions.
  6. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  1. Experience working in a regulated environment.
  2. Ability to develop operational procedures.
  3. Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  4. Effective time management and multitasking skills.
  5. Results-oriented with a strong drive to succeed.
  6. Positive attitude with a commitment to learning and growth.
