Eassons Transport Ltd. is seeking a truck driver to operate straight and tractor-trailer units, load and unload cargo, and ensure vehicle safety. The role requires vigilance in inspection, adherence to hours of service, and clear communication with dispatch.

The position is on-site at multiple locations in Nova Scotia, with potential cross-border travel and a commitment to safe, efficient transportation of goods.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in trucking or related field.

Responsabilités

• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee vehicle condition; inspect tires, lights, brakes, and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections; manage vehicle safety.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel use.

Responsibilities
