Job summary

TYT Groupe in Quebec is seeking a bilingual truck driver for long-haul transportation. You will operate and inspect vehicles, communicate with dispatch, and maintain logs of cargo, hours, distance and fuel usage. The role requires a Class 1/A license and experience with heavy trucks.

Flexibility with shifts including early mornings and evenings is expected, with potential overtime and a mix of on-road duties in a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Experience in trucking field, with long-haul exposure preferred.
• Able to communicate in English and French to coordinate with dispatch.
• Valid commercial driver's license and related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
