Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Toronto is seeking a Traction Power Engineer to contribute to the design of traction power systems for rail and transit projects. You will conduct critical AC and DC studies, prepare engineering documentation, and collaborate across multiple disciplines to advance high-impact transit infrastructure. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Electrical Engineering, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and be familiar with industry standards. Qualifications
Licensed P.Eng. in Ontario or eligible for licensure.
5+ years of experience in traction power engineering.
Strong understanding of AREMA, CSA, EN, IEEE, and related standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct AC and DC traction power studies.
Interpret study results and ensure compliance with standards.
Prepare and validate engineering drawings and specifications.
Develop grounding and bonding designs.
Identify and address risks related to DC stray current corrosion.
