Program Overview – Youth Justice Program

Turning Point Youth Services (TPYS) is an accredited, non-profit agency serving youth (12 to 24 years of age) and their families in Toronto's east end. Turning Point’s mission is to empower youth to make positive changes by offering a continuum of services focusing on mental health, housing/sheltering, and youth justice. Recently, TPYS merged with WoodGreen Community Services to provide more integrated support for youth in the GTA.

The Redwood Program is a gender-specific, structured, live-in program for young males involved in the justice system and facing mental health challenges. It aims to prevent youth involvement in the criminal justice system and support community reintegration. Part-Time/Relief Youth Workers assist clients with daily needs, including programming and household tasks. The program is staffed by at least two Youth Workers at all times.
