Job summary

Tridon Communications is seeking a Tower Service Technician in Fort McMurray, AB to install, test, troubleshoot and repair communications equipment on tower sites up to 500 ft, including antennas, brackets, cabling and connectors.

This is a multi-skilled role valuing expertise in networking, structured cabling and/or radio systems. Training and relocation benefits are provided to support career growth in our expanding telecom team.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in tower and/or telecommunications work.
Experience with hand and power tools, testing equipment, and installation materials.
Knowledge of telecom networking requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

Installation and service of PTP and PTMP wireless systems.
Installation and testing of structured cabling (Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Fiber Optic).
Programming and diagnostics of radio communications systems.
Proficient with test equipment and diagnostic tools.
Site surveys and tower inspections.
Towing and deploying portable towers and trailers.
