Job summary

Tridon Communications is seeking a local Tower Service Technician for Fort McMurray. You will install, test, troubleshoot, and repair telecom equipment on tower sites, including cabling and antennas at heights up to 500 ft.

This multi-skilled role seeks expertise in networking, structured cabling, and/or radio systems. Must meet safety standards, hold OSSA or equivalent, and be eligible to work in Canada with relocation housing provided.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of tower and/or telecommunications experience.
Experience with hand and power tools, testing equipment, and installation materials.
Knowledge of telecom networking requirements and standards.
Ability to work safely at heights and in hazardous environments.

Responsibilities

Installation and service of PTP and PTMP wireless systems.
Installation and testing of structured cabling (Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Fiber Optic).
Programming and diagnostics of radio communications systems.
Proficient with test equipment such as multimeters, watt meters, antenna diagnostics tools.
Tower climbing, rigging, and fall protection procedures.
Read and interpret telecommunication drawings and engineering documentation.
Site surveys and tower inspections; tow/deploy portable towers and trailers.
Other duties as required.
