Do you love where you live? Are you excited to share your community with visitors from around the world? Join us this summer as a Tourism Visitor Information Counsellor (TVIC) and help create unforgettable experiences for travellers exploring the Thompson Okanagan region.

As the welcoming face of our Tourism Inspiration Centre, you’ll connect people with places, events, and stories that make our region shine. It’s the perfect role for someone who’s enthusiastic, community-minded, and curious about the world of tourism.

What You’ll Do:

*Greet and assist visitors in person, by phone, and by email with enthusiasm and professionalism
*Share up-to-date knowledge about local attractions, events, services, and hidden gems
*Promote regional tourism products, accommodations, and experiences
*Keep the Visitor Centre organized, well-stocked, and visually inviting
*Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system for merchandise and track inventory
*Participate in familiarization (FAM) tours and build strong connections with local tourism partners
*Keep accurate visitor stats and contribute to improving our service

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

*A friendly, outgoing personality with a love for helping others
Knowledge of the Thompson Okanagan Region (or a willingness to learn quickly!)
*Experience in customer service, tourism, or retail is a plus
*Comfortable with Microsoft Office, internet searches, and social media
*Available to work weekends and statutory holidays
*A valid driver’s license and access to your own transportation
*Bonus points for First Aid certification or fluency in a second language
