Job Description

The Total Rewards Coordinator supports the total rewards strategy by managing benefit, pension, and other rewards program administration and reporting. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards, you will collaborate with HR Business Partners and external vendors to provide insights, ensure data governance, and administer rewards equitably.

Pension & Benefits:

  • Administer pension and benefit processes via MLSE’s HRIS system (Workday), ensuring data integrity and utilizing reporting tools.
  • Manage MLSE’s EAP, Canadian and US benefit plans, including enrollments, premium remittance, and reconciliation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and liaise with providers regarding benefits.
  • Oversee Group RRSP and Defined Contribution Pension Plan enrollments and terminations, providing accurate information to administrators.
  • Assist with disability and leave management processes.
  • Participate in HR technology projects to improve benefits processes and data accuracy.

Wellness Program Coordination:

  • Support the execution of wellness initiatives, collaborating with vendors and stakeholders to promote engagement and evaluate effectiveness.

Reporting:

  • Create regular and ad hoc reports on compensation, benefits, and workforce metrics.
  • Assist with audits and data validation.

Compensation:

  • Support annual rate increases for hourly employees and other compensation projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS systems (preferably cloud-based like Workday, Oracle).
  • 1-2 years of pension/benefit administration experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Finance, or related fields preferred.
  • Strong customer focus, adaptability, decision-making within guidelines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Canadian benefits and pension legislation.
  • Certifications such as CHRP, CCP, or CEBS are assets.
