Position Details:
- Position: Full-Time (Temp) Traffic Guard
- Averaging Agreement: Overtime is under the Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
- Hours: Continental Afternoons (1500 - 0100)
- Payrate: $19.30/hr

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide vehicular and pedestrian traffic direction and control on the groundside area of the airport, facilitating the movement of vehicular traffic
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Direct or control movement of vehicles at specific locations
- Ensure the safe, orderly, and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians on the airport's terminal curbs and roadway surfaces
- Conduct regular patrols, direct traffic, and provide relevant information to the public regarding parking, stopping, and loading/unloading in a courteous manner
- Control crosswalks, lane separations, and designated areas to ensure vehicle and pedestrian separation
- Enforce the 'Traffic on Land Side of Airports Regulations' (TLSARs), as amended or replaced
- Issue Parking Infraction Notices (PINs) following established procedures, only as a final measure after other communication methods
- Attend court to give evidence on PINs issued
- Address congestion issues, ensuring safe and orderly movement of vehicles and pedestrians
- Respond to charter bus call-up requests and support bus and tour group placements
- Assist passengers with boost requests by calling tow trucks
- Maintain a safe environment by ensuring work areas are free of obstacles
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields preferred
- Customer service experience required
- Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) required; candidates can opt into Paladin's training if lacking
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
