Job description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Management Leader for our Toronto based MFL Robotics Service Line.

Within Intero, successful project execution is key to the success for our customers. Our MFL Robotics Service Line executes over 100 global projects annually. Successful execution requires skillful process excellence from our project management team. This position will elevate our project execution process, strategy, and competency to ensure we scale with our expected growth. This newly created position will continue to develop our project management process from order to remission (OTR).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the project management team. Provide guidance and support to ensure consistent successful project delivery.
  • Identify and assign project managers and project teams for all projects, ensuring the right fit for each project, especially for key customers.
  • Implement and oversee standard processes and deliverables, from sales handover through operations, data analysis, final invoicing, and project closeout, all in line with industry standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Ensure project management project dashboard is visible and current.
  • Ensure projects completed within scope and budget, managing costs and resources effectively.
  • Ensure effective project administration process for 100% accuracy and timely billing.
  • Raise internal and external change orders in accordance with company prescribed processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate project invoicing; maintain and transmit customer budget tracking activities including accrual reporting as required.
  • Identify potential project risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure success.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns. Know when to escalate critical issues.
  • Evaluate project performance, and identify areas for improvement, and actively contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) plans.
  • Participate in customer engagement planning.
  • Lead or meaningfully contribute to business review meetings for strategic customers.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from accredited university, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Project Management, with experience leading project managers.
  • Proven track record in project management with a clear vision on strategies, processes, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Strong leadership and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient English language skills.
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Commercial and customer-oriented mindset and track record.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Experience in critical infrastructure sectors, energy, industrial services, or robotic inspections.
  • Deep understanding of pipeline inspection industry.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or other quality management/process improvement tools.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) from accredited university.
  • Experience with Ganttic software.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • This role is based in the Intero Integrity Services office in Ontario, Canada.
  • Travel required across the region (and occasionally outside region) for customer meetings and projects.
