Job summary

Soucy Group in Drummondville, Canada is seeking a tooling prototyper to support new product development and manufacturing improvements. You will work with manufacturing engineering, production and quality to design, fabricate and optimize jigs and tooling used in operations.

You will assemble, fabricate and modify tooling, diagnose issues, operate drills, saws and welders, review drawings and 3D models, and track technical information with computer tools.

Qualifications

• Design and fabricate jigs and tooling for production.
• Review drawings and 3D models using CAD/related tools.
• Track and document technical information using computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fabricate, and modify jigs and tooling for production.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to existing tooling.
• Operate machine tools (drills, saws, welders) safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by optimizing tooling for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Review drawings and 3D models, ensuring correct specs are followed.
