With over 35 years in the industry, our client offers stability, global exposure (including trips to Japan, the U.S., and Mexico), and a culture of Kaizen, where new ideas and personal development are always encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create mold specifications and support tool shop selection and mold build discussions.

  • Attend weekly customer meetings and ensure tooling meets internal and external standards.

  • Manage tool shops to ensure tools progress on schedule and attend tool trials.

  • Troubleshoot issues with the manufacturing plant tooling team.

  • Negotiate tooling costs to meet customer budgets in a timely manner.

  • Provide technical support across departments and act as a communication lead between internal and external stakeholders.

  • Capture lessons learned and apply to future projects for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of experience in injection mold design/mold tooling.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing demands.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience communicating with cross-functional teams.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Mold design/mold maker apprenticeship considered an asset.

  • Automotive industry experience.

  • Moldflow certification is a strong asset.

  • Familiarity with CAE, CAD, and DFM tools.
