Job summary

Halliwell Consulting Corp in Schomberg, ON is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to join their team. The role involves performing tooling maintenance on equipment, supporting tooling spare parts, following work instructions, and ensuring dies and tools are maintained to prevent production downtime.

Candidates should have a Certificate of Qualification in Tool and Die, strong blueprint reading skills, and experience in high-volume automated stamping.

Qualifications

• Certification of Qualification in Tool and Die.
• Excellent communication skills: written and oral.
• Good organizational skills, self starter and a team player.
• Minimum 2 years previous work experience in a high volume, automated stamping environment.
• Hands-on experience with various stamping operations, (e.g. transfer, progressive, blanking).
• Proficient reading blueprints and sketches.

Responsibilities

• Perform tooling maintenance on equipment as per tooling maintenance requests assigned.
• Support maintenance of tooling spare parts.
• Follow all applicable work instructions to complete the tooling maintenance tasks.
• Make aware any tooling equipment safety concerns to the Tool Lead Hand immediately.
• Complete and sign tooling maintenance requests.
• Read and interprets blueprints and uses precision measuring instruments (imperial and metric).
• Ensure all dies and tools are maintained properly to avoid interruption of production, and to minimize unnecessary downtime.
• Actively participates in continuous improvement, dimensional quality concerns and customer issues, and supports departmental goals and objectives.
• Clean tooling as required and maintain a clean organized work area.

Our client, located in Schomberg, ON has immediate opportunities for a Tool & Die Maker to join their team.

Wage:

$37/hr Negotiable, depending on experience

Shift:

2 weeks on days 7:00AM to 3:00Pm, 2 weeks on afternoons 3:00PM to 11:00PM

Responsibilities:
