Division Info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of Position:

In this role, your job duties include keeping an accurate inventory of the tools and storing them properly. You also inspect the equipment to make sure they are in good condition and report those that are worn, damaged, lost, or unsafe to use.

This position is based on a 40 hour per week schedule night shift Sunday through Thursday. Additional/Overtime hours may be required based on business schedule.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Presets tools, sets gauging, knows what parts are required from the schedule given and status list to be able to set up tooling ahead of time.
2. Receives orders from shipping and completes paperwork for new supplies. Tracks tool supplies received in Baan.
3. Determines what tools need to be ground and brings them to the grinders, puts finished tools back in their place. Sends special tooling to be ground to an outside source at least once a week.
4. Inventory control for tooling and ordering of tooling and supplies. Tracks tool supplies received in Baan.
5. Programs the Zoller machine. Calibrates and restocks smaller tool setting machines.
6. Keeps the tool crib well stocked, clean and organized in order to efficiently provide machinists with required tooling.
7. Performs preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections which incorporate Health & Safety awareness.
8. Works closely and supports machinists/other personnel in the execution of their daily job functions.
9. Conducts self at all times in a professional manner and adheres to all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
10. Other duties as assigned.
11. Perform other duties assigned by the department leadership.

• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner with frequent interruptions and constantly shifting priorities.
• Ability to plan and prioritize workload to ensure efficient support to plant operations.
• Must be able to pass Controlled Goods Products Security Screening process.
