Profile (Overview of job)

Under the direction and leadership of the Stores Lead, this role is responsible for safely and efficiently managing Production Tool and Equipment Inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Issue and maintain tool and equipment records for parts that leave and are returned to inventory.
  2. Tool calibration, repairs, and replacement processes.
  3. Work with procurement team to order out-of-stock tools and parts and ensure safety stock is in place.
  4. Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools/equipment and requisition stock to replenish inventory.
  5. Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear.
  6. Locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment, as required.
  7. Track all relevant warehouse and inventory information with a Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system and/or an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  8. Conduct audits to ensure accuracy of physical inventory.
  9. Additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

  1. 2-3 years of related experience.
  2. Demonstrated teamwork skills and a willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
  3. Valid Material Handling Equipment Ticket an asset (SDCB, High Reach, Power Walkie, or other MHE as required by operations) - willing to be trained as needed.
  4. Warehouse experience is an asset.
  5. Experience with using MRP or ERP systems is an asset.

Skills

  1. General inventory skills.
  2. A positive attitude with good customer service skills.
