TOOL CRIB ATTENDANT

The Tool Crib Attendant manages Côté Gold’s tool inventory, distributes, collects, and maintains tools, and keeps detailed records of the maintenance team’s tools.

Key Responsibilities
Area 1: Managing tool inventory
  • Distribute tools to employees and contractors.
  • Inspect tools for damage or wear.
  • Receive and rotate inventory.
  • Maintain inventory records.
  • Order new tools as needed.
  • Keep the tool crib clean and organized.
  • Maintain tools in good condition.
  • Store hazardous materials safely per WHMIS.
  • Prepare inventory counts as required.
Area 2: Operational excellence
  • Engage in continuous learning and improvement.
  • Seek to improve skills.
  • Identify inefficiencies or problems.
  • Share issues with others.
  • Work collaboratively to troubleshoot problems.
  • Consider risks across throughput, time, quality, sustainability, and cost.
Area 3: Collaborative operational reliability
  • Coordinate with team members to meet shift goals.
  • Mentor and train new team members.
  • Participate actively in team efforts.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ensure logs are accurate and complete.
  • Report deficiencies for follow-up.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams supporting our commitments to community, environment, and shareholders.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Nice To Haves

Minimum qualifications, education, certifications, or equivalents:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.

Work experience — Nature & Length:

  • Prior tool management experience is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of different environments and safety protocols (WHMIS) is required.
  • Sense of urgency and focus.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
