TOOL CRIB ATTENDANT

The Tool Crib Attendant manages Côté Gold’s tool inventory, distributing, collecting, and maintaining tools, and keeping detailed records of the maintenance team's operations.

Key Responsibilities
Area 1: Managing Tool Inventory
  • Distribute tools to employees and contractors.
  • Inspect tools for damage or wear.
  • Receive and rotate tool inventory.
  • Maintain inventory records.
  • Order new tools as needed.
  • Keep the tool crib clean and organized.
  • Ensure tools are in good working condition.
  • Store hazardous materials, chemicals, and gases safely according to WHMIS standards.
  • Prepare inventory counts as required.
Area 2: Operational Excellence
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Seek to enhance your skills regularly.
  • Identify inefficiencies or problems.
  • Share issues with others.
  • Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Consider risks across throughput, time, quality, sustainability, and cost.
Area 3: Collaboration and Reliability
  • Coordinate with team members to meet shift goals.
  • Mentor and train new team members.
  • Participate actively in team efforts.
  • Communicate effectively using provided tools.
  • Maintain accurate equipment and shift logs.
  • Report deficiencies for follow-up.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams committed to safety, community, environment, and shareholder value.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Nice-to-Haves

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in tool management is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols and different environments.
  • Sense of urgency and focus.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
