Hourly Rate: $42.62/hour
The Opportunity:
Working in the Refinery Maintenance Department the Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for managing, maintaining, and tracking tools, equipment, and consumables within the maintenance shop. This role ensures all tools and equipment are organized, serviced, and utilized in compliance with safety standards and manufacturer requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, coordinating repairs, and supporting the safe operation of shop tools, breathing air equipment, lifting devices, and other equipment and supplies.
Education & Licensing:
- Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5 minimum).
- Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certifications.
- Forklift Certification with operational experience.
- Fall Protection certification and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a Tool Crib or related manufacturing/industrial role.
- Mechanical background or demonstrated high mechanical aptitude, including understanding of tool descriptions and proper usage.
- Proven experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or Tool Crib management software.
- Maintenance of calibration, certification, and repair records and history.
- Experience with parts manuals and identifying components and parts to repair and replace tools is required.
- Technical & Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Core Competencies:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities and workload.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with personnel across all levels of the organization, including contractors.
- Manage competing priorities with frequent interruptions.
